Discovery on Jupiter's moonGalileo was sent into space with the goal of exploring jupiter and the region surrounding it. The had a discovered a possible ocean under the ice crust of one of Jupiter’s moons, Europa. The discovery shocked the scientists and changed our way of viewing the solar system. It was the first spacecraft to orbit Jupiter and the outer solar system and also the first to measure Jupiter’s atmosphere. Later the craft was deliberately crashed into Jupiter to protect the discovery of the body of water, on September 21, 2003.
